Well, CBA’s back in action and St. Peter’s Prep played two very interesting games over the weekend. Take your pick of the top four, because any one could beat the others on any night. With one week left before Saturday’s state-tournament deadline, 18 parochial teams will compete in the deepest parochial bracket ever, while 30 public schools have clinched spots and roughly 20 more sit on the bubble. Cup tournaments are also starting to take shape.

         Ironmen eke out 5-4 win over St. Peter’s Prep, face South Jersey opponents for Gordon Cup seeding.

         Midweek trip to Fairfield Prep (Connecticut) is most difficult test of the week for Pirates.

         This Week: 2/11 @ CBA, 2/13 vs. TRE, 2/15 @ BM

         Lancers will try to wrap up Shore A title after huge division rivalry game Wednesday.

  6—CBA (10-7-1, 5-5-1 Gordon) Last Week – 4

         This Week: 2/13 @ DBP

         Colts have Shore A/Gordon scheduling conflicts but need wins to guarantee postseason seeding.

  7—Bergen Catholic (9-5-2, 8-3-2 Gordon) Last Week – 6

         This Week: 2/11 vs. Del

         Struggling Crusaders can focus on Wednesday’s home game.

  8—Pope John (13-3, 9-0 Northern Red) Last Week – 8

         This Week: 2/9 @ MalP, 2/11 vs. HC, 2/13 vs. Rmpo, 2/15 @ PC

         Lions space out a four-game week and should hold steady at No. 8.

  9—Bishop Eustace (14-2, 11-2 Southern Red) Last Week – 9

         This Week: 2/9 vs. RBC, 2/13 vs. ND

         Crusaders escaped 1-0 against Montclair; can wrap up Southern Red title Monday.

10—St. Augustine Prep (15-1-2, 10-1-2 Southern Red) Last Week – 10

         Hermits still have only lost once, which they avenged; Handchen Cup tourney should be fun.

11—Randolph (10-3-2, 7-2-1 MCSSIHL Mennen) Last Week – 13

         This Week: 2/10 Cha, 2/14 vs. Sum (BSA), 2/15 MK (Sky)        

         Rams beat Morristown-Beard on fortuitous deflection to move into second in Mennen Division.

12—Red Bank Catholic (8-6-2, 6-4-2 Southern Red) Last Week – 14

         Caseys have second chance to play spoiler Monday against Bishop Eustace.

13—Ridge (10-4-3, 8-3-2 Central Red) Last Week – 16

         Great pick-up with Friday night game against PC, although it’s the night before a division game.

14—West Essex (11-3-2, 5-2-2 Central Red) Last Week – 11

         Bridgewater loss knocks Knights down, but they can recover with huge division games this week.

15—Middletown North (17-4, 11-2 Southern White) Last Week – 15

         This Week: 2/15 vs. TRS

         Lions edged rival Middletown South 4-3 Sunday; Shore B champs can clinch division title Sunday against TRS.

16—Morris Knolls (11-5-2, 4-4-1 MCSSIHL Mennen) Last Week – 12

         This Week: 2/11 vs. Pin, 2/14 vs. MB, 2/15 Ran (Sky)

         Shock Mendham loss has Golden Eagles plunging toward the Halvorsen Division if they can’t catch Chatham.

17—Montclair (10-6-3, 5-5-2 Central Red) Last Week – 19

         This Week: 2/9 @ WE, 2/12 @ Bay

         Mounties earned revenge in Montclair Cup and could still be a top-four cup seed.

18—Morristown-Beard (8-3-4, 6-2-3 MCSSIHL Mennen) Last Week – NR

         This Week: 2/9 vs. Hun, 2/12 @ Del, 2/14 @ MK

         Inconsistent Crimson need to get to double-digit wins, but Delbarton tie was first result in 10 years against nemesis.

19—Montgomery (13-5-1, 8-4-1 Southern White) Last Week – 17

         This Week: 2/13 Hun, Msqn make-up

         Cougars beat Pennington 2-0 as they cruise toward postseason. Need ’squan win for playoff seeding.

20—Rumson/Fair Haven (11-6-2, 7-3-2 Southern White) Last Week – 18

         Bulldogs need Thursday win as they chase a first-round bye.
