Tournaments
There wasn’t a lot of Top-10 action this week, but holiday tournaments saw plenty of turnover in the Red and White Divisions, although some games are difficult to gauge due to holiday absences, such as Ridge-Pingry. Most teams stayed roughly where they were this week, with the Southern Red of course providing some theatrics. Montclair enters the poll after its virtually scoreless (one real goal in 90 minutes) two-game triumph over Randolph. Toms River East drops out after losing in the Toms River Mayor’s Cup final to Monsignor Donovan. As for the honorable mention, Montgomery took one spot, and Bayonne was lucky to claim the last spot to drop Paramus and Toms River South out from last week.
Seton Hall Prep takes over the top spot after its 2-1 win over Bergen Catholic, but I expect the Crusaders to return to No. 1 later in the season as they outplayed the Pirates even without forward John Goffredo.
First White/Blue Top 20 ranking for lower-division teams has also been released..
