As usual, the rankings were very difficult, thanks as always to the Southern Red. Seven Southern Red teams are ranked, as are three more from the Southern White. The Southern Red and Mennen Division appear to be the strongest non-Gordon Divisions, and the Southern White is probably stronger than the Northern Red, Pope John excepted. More inter-sectional matchups are still necessary for accurate rankings, so the holiday tournaments should produce some interesting matchups.

White/Blue Top 20 ranking for lower-division teams will be coming around New Year’s.

  1 — Bergen Catholic (4-0, 4-0 Gordon Conference)

         This Week: 12/22 @ SHP

         Crusaders hold onto the top spot with 5-4 win over St. John Vianney.

  2 — CBA (4-1, 3-1 Gordon Conference)

         This Week: Portland, Maine Invitational

         Colts retained Shore A lead with 3-2 win over Red Bank Catholic.

  3 — Seton Hall Prep (2-2-1, 2-1 Gordon Conference)

         This Week: 12/22 vs. BC

         Inconsistent results so far, but Monday will tell a lot.

  4 — Don Bosco Prep (3-2, 2-1 Gordon Conference)

         This Week: Capitol City Classic (Concord, NH)

         Impressive shutout of SJV and win over Delbarton deserves some respect.

  5—St. John Vianney (4-2, 2-2 Gordon Conference)

         This Week: 12/26 vs. TRN

         Lancers struggled in Sunday’s loss after a decent outing against BC.

  6—Delbarton (3-1-1, 3-0 MCSSIHL Mennen)

         This Week: 12/22 @ LaS-RI, 12/23 @ MSC-RI

         Green Wave struggling defensively, and facing Rhode Island’s best may not help.

  7—St. Peter’s Prep (4-0, 2-0 Central Red)

         This Week: 12/26 MKA, 12/27 TBD (Ice House Tournament)

         Marauders crushed rival HC 9-1 in program’s biggest win.

  8—Pope John (6-0, 6-0 Northern Red)

         This Week: 12/22 Hac, 12/26 RD, 12/27 TBD (Ice House Tournament)

         Ice House tourney final should be first real test if it’s against St. Peter’s.

  9—St. Augustine (5-0, 4-0 Southern Red)

         This Week: 12/26 @ BE

         The only team to distance itself from the tough Southern Red pack.

10—Morris Knolls (4-1, 0-1 MCSSIHL Mennen)

         This Week: 12/27 MH

         Impressive Golden Eagles crushed rival WE 9-0 to win Cron Tourney.

11—Bishop Eustace (2-1, 2-1 Southern Red)

         This Week: 12/26 vs. SA

         Crusaders face huge Southern Red clash with SA Friday.

12—Hudson Catholic (1-3, 1-2 Gordon Conference)

         This Week: 12/22 @ Bri

         Hawks looking to get back on track after embarrassing loss to SPP.

13—St. Joseph’s Metuchen (1-3, 1-3 Gordon Conference)

         This Week: idle

         Falcons lost to Don Bosco Prep by a respectable 4-1 margin.

14—Middletown South (3-2, 2-2 Southern Red)

         This Week: 12/23 @ OB, 12/26 @ RBC, 12/28 vs. SB

         Eagles earned their spot with big 3-1 win over RBC; try to do it again Friday.

15—Toms River East (3-2, 2-1 Southern Red)

         This Week: 12/22 TRS, 12/23 TBD (Toms River Mayor’s Cup)

         Raiders edged BM and SB by a goal each to tie for third in wide-open Southern Red.

16—Red Bank Catholic (3-3, 2-2 Southern Red)

         This Week: 12/26 vs. MidS

         Despite Sunday loss, Caseys boast wins over TRE and Brick.

17—Notre Dame (4-2, 4-0 CVC Colonial)

         This Week: idle

         Irish beat HoVal 11-3, more impressive thanks to Bulldogs’ 5-3 win over Bridgewater.

18—Ridge (4-1, 4-1 Central Red)

         This Week: 12/27, 12/29 Somerset County Tournament

         Red Devils got revenge on rival WE with 4-1 win, top Central Red.

19—Brick Memorial (3-4, 3-4 Southern Red)

         This Week: 12/26 vs. Msqn, Lawrence Christmas Tournament

         Mustangs edged SB 3-2, have completed half of Southern Red schedule.

20—Randolph (3-1-1, 2-1-1 MCSSIHL Mennen)

         This Week: 12/27-8 @ Montclair (two-game tournament)

         Rams look third best in very competitive Mennen Division after beating Cha and tying MB.
