It’s still a tough call on a lot of these spots, especially toward the end, which is a tribute to the state’s public-school parity. Five unbeaten teams remain, and crucial interleague matchups should provide more logic for future rankings.

         Somerset County champions appear to be for real, but it’s still early.

         Falcons need to show more dominance in Central Red contests.

         Eagles have strong non-league schedule and face a big week ahead.

         Lions need to take care of business this week in Southern Red play.

19 — Toms River North (5-1, 4-0 Southern White) Last Week – NR

         Mariners need to win out until Jan. 23 clash with MidS.

20 — Notre Dame (6-0, 5-0 CVC Colonial) Last Week – 20

         Tough to judge without a game against Top 20 opposition.
